Uganda Robusta
Ugandan Robusta is grown in the region Busheny in the southeast of the country. The height of growth here varies from 600 to 1100 meters above sea level. The region has about 1750 mm of precipitation, which is well distributed throughout the year: the drought period lasts an average of 2.5 months - this time is necessary for the flowering of coffee trees. The soil predominantly volcanic, which means it is rich in minerals and nutrients.
Coffee is grown on farms that cooperate with Kawacom. The company participates in the organic trade development program in Uganda and other countries. The goal of the program is to support local farmers, motivate them to increase the productivity and quality of coffee through bonuses.
